Changed.2011 -- THE BASICS

We are excited to announce a short-term mission trip opportunity to Ethiopia in January 2011!!
We will continue to give more details in the future....but for now, here are the "basics":

WHO?? Anyone! Maybe even YOU!

We will have to limit the group size to around 20. (Not including leaders)

WHEN?? January 15-23, 2011.

(Departure and return dates may vary by a day depending on available flight schedule.)

WHERE?? Ethiopia

WHAT?? The exact details of the week will not be set until closer to the trip. In general, we will be serving the orphaned, abandoned, and impoverished children of Ethiopia in a variety of different settings. We will spend time in any (or all?) of the following settings: drop-in center, orphanages, city trash dump, soccer ministry to street children.

WHY?? To show the love of Jesus Christ by caring for His children. It is clear in God's word that we should care for the orphan, give to the poor, share with the needy and love those we meet. Love. Serve. Obey. That's our goal.

HOW?? By God's grace alone.

Random tidbits: Hope For His Children, Inc. is organizing and leading this trip. However, all participants will be responsible for their own expenses. We are estimating the entire cost (airfare, lodging, food, in-country travel, project costs, etc.) to be around $2,000. We will provide fund-raising opportunities and suggestions for those interested.
