Notes from Info Meeting

For those of you who may have an interest in the mission trip, but were unable to attend the info meeting: here is a copy of the agenda we covered. Please feel free to email anytime with questions/concerns/comments!!!

  • JANUARY 15-23, 2011
  • PURPOSE : To show the love of Jesus Christ to orphaned, abandoned and impoverished children in Ethiopia.
  • Goals: Increase awareness (Them. Us.)
  • Generate support (Now. Future.)

  • General Outline of the Week:
  • Saturday – travel
  • Sunday – church and prepare
  • Monday thru Thursday – serve til’ you drop! J
  • Friday – sightseeing day
  • Saturday - Soccer ministry? , pack, depart for home
  • Sunday – travel home
  • Travel: We will probably book flight tickets 2-4 weeks before trip
  • We plan to use Mike Snyder (with MKI group travel) to get the best deal!
  • Lodging: We plan to stay at Ethiopia Guest Home (www.ethiopiaguesthome.com)
  • In country travel: Taxis (vans) - cost is figured in
  • Food: Most meals will be at the Guest Home. Lunches may be packed and eaten on-site. We will eat out at a “cultural dinner” on evening. Highly recommend packing some snack food!

  • Children’s Home Ethiopia

  • Cost ESTIMATES: Airfare: $1,200-$1,500 round trip
  • Food/lodging/transportation: $ 350

  • Proceeds to Hope For His Children, Inc. but individual “booths”
